No TUSAL tonight

I usually do a Saturday night TUSAL, but I have taken a couple days hiatus from stitching because I am very bored with my project.  I tend to take breaks when I have large chunks of one color because if I don't take breaks, I will drop the project and never pick it up again.  I would rather give my Chibi Moon a fighting chance at completion rather than dropping it all together.  That being said, here's your weekly fact!

Random fact:  Someone who bites their nails out of habit is called an onychophagiac.  (I guess that makes me an onychophagiac lol)

So little time

So I haven't been too faithful to my sketching, my cross stitching, or my crocheting.  No, I've been doing something much less important with my time.  I've fallen back into my constant video gaming routine, so I am going to have to manage my time a little more.  I mean, the only time I actually play video games (or cross stitch, or sketch, or crochet) is when my son is either napping or in bed for the night.  So I really don't have much time to do that anyway.

I guess I need to alternate days or something.  Darn video games.  I'm excited to play The Last Story which I pre-ordered but it still hasn't made it here yet.  I live in a very secluded area and so I'm not too worried about it.  It'll get here when it gets here.

My poor son today, I felt so bad for him.  He was in the living room and I turned away for just a second to shoo the cat away.  Not even a millisecond, and he pulled our couch table onto himself.  He has a nasty bruise on his thigh where it pinned him to the floor.  I don't think I've ever moved so fast though.  All I heard was the scream and I went running.  Nothing will ever panic a parent like hearing their child scream.  I think it scared him more than it hurt him.  I checked everything, made sure he wasn't broken anywhere, and then I snuggled him and covered him in kisses which seemed to make the poor baby feel better.

He got some ibuprofen before going to bed.  I'm going to check on him before I finally turn in, but I think he'll be alright.  Just a little bruised.

On that note, time to check on him and go to bed.  Good night!

I missed my Saturday night TUSAL!!

I ended up falling asleep early last night, so happy belated Saturday!  Even though it's Sunday!

So not much new happening, I have started a blanket for my son.  It's going to be crocheted and I've never made granny squares before.  I'm coming to find that sport weight yarn is really thin and I'm not so sure I like it.  The only benefit I am having with this yarn is that it's super soft.  Perfect for a blankie.

Pizza night tonight, so I'm going to leave you with my TUSAL and then go start dinner :)

Still just so much pink...

Silver Shepherd's Pie

Another day of not doing any stitching.  I have felt like garbage all day and my son has been a little bugger, too.  I didn't really have the time, nor the patience for stitching today.  Morning sickness is in full swing, so that's good, I guess.

The name...uh..."Silver Shepherd's Pie" is a response to something my sister posted.  It was a facebook thing that said, "The color of your pants plus the last thing you ate is your band name."  So...you know, my answer was Silver Shepherd's pie.

Not important, but funny (I thought, anyway lol).

Not much stitching lately

I have recently rediscovered my Silent Hill video games, so I haven't been as faithful to my stitching.  I think it's because I've grown bored with all the pink.  Once I'm past that part, it won't be so bad, but I'm just so BORED.  I know, I know, I've said it before.

I will probably stitch tonight when my son goes to bed, but that's a slow process if that's the case because he goes to bed at 8 which only gives me 3 hours to stitch.

I made a trip to the hospital last night because I have been having pain in my side that is increasing.  Being the paranoid mommy I am, I was scared it could be a tubal pregnancy because of where it was.  It wasn't, thank God, but it was probably good I went in because I was very dehydrated and didn't know AND I needed my rhogam shot.  Who knew?  I guess it's not so bad that I went in, I just felt bad because I went to the hospital and all I came out with was a bandaid lol

I think I will watch some House M.D. and take a nap.  I'm feeling a bit ill today.  I guess that's what happens when you're growing a human, eh?

Saturday night TUSAL!

Here is my Saturday night TUSAL:

Oh, the pink.  The PINK!  So much pink!  I can not believe how boring it is to stitch in all pink.  It's almost over, though.  Almost over.  Once this square is done, I'll finally be on her face and then I won't have as much pink to worry about.

Something I just have to put out there.

Okay, let me start by saying that I DO believe in God.  Here's the problem I have though:

I don't care what you believe, but don't try to push it on me.

Christian?  Great.  I don't want it pushed on me.

Catholic?  Great.  Another denomination of Christianity.  I don't want you pushing it on me.

Muslim?  Great.  We have the same God with different rules.  I don't want your views pushed on me (though I've never personally encountered a pushy Muslim).

Agnostic?  Great.  You don't know if there is a God or not.  You guys I really haven't ever had a problem with.

Atheist?  Great.  You don't believe in God.  I don't want you pushing it on me.

There are PLENTY of other religions, I do live in the melting pot.  I just have such a problem with people pushing things on me and judging me because I said, "I believe in God."  I had a run in with a very bitter atheist today and I think that's why I'm feeling a little miffed.  She called me stupid for believing in a, "...flying spaghetti monster."  Instead of actually providing an argument for her views she resorted to name calling and insults.

I have NO problem with atheists.  I have NO problem with theists.  I have a problem with the judgement that seems to come from both sides.  I find overbearing Christians and overbearing Atheists on the same level of annoying.

Off topic:

I should have a TUSAL tonight :)

The AC is OUT!

It's a balmy 120ºF and my air conditioning doesn't work.  My entire day has been spent fanning myself and praying that it gets even a little cooler.  The housing office refuses to fix our AC because they say it's, "...not their problem."  I find that a bit ridiculous.  We pay you rent, you fix our AC.  That's how that works.  But no, so I get to go to their office tomorrow (because my husband refuses to for whatever reason) and raise a stink until they're willing to fix our AC.  It's too hot for them to be denying us our air, and I have a toddler who has been quite the handful because he's too hot throughout the day.

I'm not dealing with it tomorrow.  I'm tired of the heat.  It's been out for three days now.

Quick TUSAL Before Bed :)

This is as far as I am on Sailor Chibi Moon, I've finished the second page of the pattern:

Been dealing with morning sickness all day today, so I haven't got much done.  Hopefully it's not as bad tomorrow.  BUT time for bed, now :)

Well, That Didn't Work

The plan was to finish stitching square two of my Sailor Chibi Moon pattern today, but my son has come down with a case of the "grumpies" and made it impossible for me to do ANYTHING.

I know it's not much, and it's really not an update, but how about a random ORTs?

Hmm...now that I'm looking at that, it's kinda water spotted.  You don't notice it until you take a picture ha ha.  Don't mind my water spots! :)

As I Sit Watching Blue's Clues...

Uh, well, actually, my son is watching Blue's Clues and I'm sitting with him.  My son decided yesterday that he's going to start walking now, so I'm very proud of him!

I did a LOT of stitching last night.  I finally finished the gigantic chunk of pink and I must admit that I have a hard time plugging through these big sections of all one color.  I just get so bored!  Now that I'm on a section of a different color, albeit still pink, I'm cruising through it.

I'll probably update again today with the second square of Sailor Chibi Moon finished.  Though, if my son has it his way, I won't be stitching any time soon.  The kid's a spaz :)

Wow, It's Been a While

So, I know it's been a while.  But to be honest, I almost forgot that I had this.  I saw a post in a forum asking if anyone had a blog, and well, I remembered that I have one!

So here's what's new:

I finished Vincent Valentine for my son's room, and it turned out pretty awesome!

Right now I'm working on Sailor Chibi Moon.  I created a pattern for her and am hoping that my next little one that I have is a girl simply because I want a reason to hang up all my girly patterns.  Actually, that's not true, I want another boy haha.

This is as far as I got on her so far:

She's coming along quite nicely.

Bigger news than both of those, though.  We're expecting baby number two.  That's both good and bad.  Good because if I could have things my way, I would have a house full of children, bad because my son is still in diapers.  The only reason that's bad is because he's still so young and I'll be dealing with two babies at once which will be really stressful, but you know what?  I know I can handle it!

We just got my son off of bottles.  He's officially on his sippy cups now.  I'm so lucky this kid is so laid back.  I mean, he took the bottle perfectly (we couldn't breast feed), he made no fuss when switching from formula to milk, he made no fuss when I changed his night time bottle to four ounces of water (used to be formula), he has so far made no fuss when switching from bottle to sippy.  I can not believe how lucky I am with this little boy.  Even the pregnancy was super easy!  I guess that means my next little one is going to be a pain :)

Well, I'm going to do some stitching before bed, so goodnight all.
