Two days!

Goodbye, California!  They come take our stuff tomorrow, our internet is shut off tomorrow, and then we're leaving the next day!

Just popping in before we leave.

Goodbye, Fort Irwin

I live in the middle of the desert in California.  My husband is in the Army.  We have 10 days for him to clear post (get all his affairs together and what-not), clear housing (white glove cleaning), and be in Texas.  10 DAYS!

That being said, I probably won't update very often until we're actually in Texas.  So I'm off to do some more cleaning.  Happy stitching, everyone, and wish us luck!

Loot Crate Anime

I still receive Loot Crate.  I haven't done an unboxing in a while because the subjects of the crate haven't really interested me.  I did an entire 6 months of crates before I finally cancelled.  Then they sent an email in the middle of November saying that signups for the new Loot Crate Anime were open.  So I decided to give them another chance.

Oh boy am I glad I did.  I didn't take any pictures because I wasn't sure if I was going to like it, but if the rest of these crates are as awesome as this one, I may have to stick with it.  I am in LOVE with the items in this one and not a single item went to my kids...that's a first!

I will share one picture, though.  I got a pretty heavy duty Attack on Titan mug from them:

Sorry about the image quality.

Alright, one of my minions is being a booger.  Happy stitching, everyone.

I Miss You Already

I have a thing for granny blankets.  You know the ones, the hodge podge of color that are actually pretty beautiful because they're full of love?  Well, I made one:

A little bit about this blanket.  I'm calling it the "I Miss You Already" blanket.  The pattern is the In Love With Color throw from the Red Heart website (it's a free pattern, y'all!).  The reason I call it that is because the day I dropped my husband off at the airport, I picked out all the colors based on how I felt the moment I got home.

I actually hadn't planned it, it was a spur of the moment thing.  I picked out my colors not knowing what I was going to make and then I picked out the pattern.  The pattern itself was really easy and I'd been steadily working on this blanket since the day he left.  The blanket is roughly the size of a standard baby blanket or a lapghan.

Okay, on to other stuffs.

I have been working on my Geisha, but she still doesn't look like I've done much because everything I've done is back stitching.  So I will try to update when I get a little more done on her.

I'm STILL waiting on my yarn from Hobby Lobby to get here so that I can continue my work on Sophie.  I probably won't finish that blanket before we move which is really stressful.  I'm definitely bringing that one in the car with me so it doesn't get lost in the move.

In the meantime I've started another blanket.  I know, I know, I don't need any more blankets.  I can't help it, I just LOVE blankets.  Really.  Ask my husband.  Every single year for Christmas I want a new blanket.  Anyway, the new project I'm working on is called Tides Of Change (Another free pattern, y'all!) and I'm doing mine in various shades of purple.  I saw the pictures of the blanket and immediately knew it had to be the same person who made the Rings Of Change (alas, not free) pattern.

Okay, I'm off to watch some Courage the Cowardly Dog with my minions.  Happy stitching, everyone!

Fire Flower

My son has this obsession with the Mario Brothers, so previously he's asked me for a mushroom and a Cheep-Cheep.  The last week or so he's been asking for a fire flower.  So I made him one!

He's really little.  About the size of my palm.

He's the perfect size to go with his stuffed Mario that he plays with all the time, so that was what I was going for.  I'm kinda proud of him.  His head's a little lumpy, though because he got manhandled when I was attaching his eyes (oops!).

I'm taking a break from my Sophie still because my green yarn STILL hasn't come in yet.  I'm dying to get working on it!  I ordered on Thanksgiving night, though, so I expected to be waiting a little while.

I have been working on that kit I mentioned a couple posts ago and this is what I've got so far:

The entire project is only comprised of two colors, so it's really easy.  I've never done so many French knots in my life.  I'm about an eighth of the way done and I've made 10 French knots already.  One is too many for me, but to do ten already?  UGH!  I must say, though, I am really enjoying this project.  I'm finding the blues to be very calming and the overall pattern is turning out really beautifully.

I am terrible at French knots lol

I'm off to go play some more Mario Party with my minion and his fire flower.  Happy stitching, everyone!

Happy Thanksgiving!

Just a quick post to say Happy Thanksgiving to everyone!

Happy stitching!

Cheep Cheep

My son is a Mario fan.  He saw me browsing amigurumi yesterday and decided that he NEEDED a Cheep Cheep.  So I made him one!

Don't mind the wonky felt, I have no scissors for crafting other than my little thread scissors.  He was really fun to make and I got the pattern HERE.

I'm going to be working on my Geisha again soon, but I threw my back out again.  What that means for me is that I can't lean over far enough to open the baby gate and I can't lift my legs high enough to get over it...my Geisha is on the other side of my baby gate.  It's really annoying.  In the meantime I am working on THIS KIT.  Super cute and really, really fun.

I'm getting ready to go make lunch, so happy stitching, everyone!

My swap gift came!

I meant to write about this yesterday but I forgot. I got my swap gift yesterday!  Here's the haul!

In this adorable little package, I got several pieces of Hi-Chews (a favorite candy of this household's), some Botan Rice Candy, some strawberry and chocolate Pocky, and three little DBZ voodoo doll key chains.

Hi-Chews are kinda like a starburst but a little bit tougher.  Botan Rice Candy is like a gumdrop candy wrapped in a rice paper film and the rice paper dissolves like those Listerine strips.  I love Rice candy because it's kind of a blast from the past for me.  The Pocky I haven't had since high school--the strawberry not at all.

The key chains are Vegeta (top), Kuririn (left), and Goku/Kakarrot (right).  They are already in their new homes on my various key rings in my house.  Vegeta has a special place on my purse because he's my favorite.

If you would like to join in on next year's swap, I definitely encourage you to check out Sprite Stitch.  They also have a really cute blog.

On to what I'm doing right now:

I'm currently working on this month's Sprite Stitch challenge and am making a Lich from Phantasy Star.  I have never played that game before.  I wanted to make the Lich from Gauntlet: Dark Legacy, but the image I made would have taken way too long to stitch.  I don't want to be taken away from my big projects for too long, you know.

Alrighty, that's all.  Definitely check out the couple of links I provided, the community is awesome.  Happy stitching, everyone!

Disney Movie a Day

My kids and I are watching a Disney movie every morning with breakfast.  We don't have access to all the Disney movies because before I had kids I never bought them, but I don't mind watching things more than once.  We're on the Star Wars saga right now.  My daughter seems to LOVE these movies and my son seems pretty indifferent.  Personally I think my 2 year old daughter just has a crush on Anakin.

This was a good way to reduce the amount of Frozen that we watch in this household.  My daughter's new favorite movies are Star Wars (any) and Cinderella.  My son's new favorites are Monsters Inc., Big Hero 6, and The Incredibles.

Not that anyone cares haha!

Okay, on to some WIPs.  I finished the butterfly band on my Sophie blanket!  Here it is:

Don't mind the blurriness of the picture.  I'm only 5 feet tall and this blanket is now too big for me to take a picture of it without standing on something.  Sadly, there's nowhere in my house big enough to display it where I CAN stand on a chair or stool.  So...I jumped.  This picture took probably 20 tries to get right.  No, really.

Random additional picture of Sophie, here's a picture of my cat preventing me from working on it because she decided to lay on my blanket while the hook was still in it:

This one's blurry because it was taken with a built in web-cam on my laptop...and we all know how great those are!

I'm working on my Geisha still, but I haven't finished enough that I want to post a WIP yet.  I will probably post a picture of her in the next few days, though.

Happy stitching, everyone.  Off to finish Revenge of the Sith.

Ugly Blanket Project

I have always loved what I call "ugly blankets."  You know, the homey small blankets that you always see in a little old lady's lap?  Or draped over a 60's style couch? I'm sure I've brought this up before...I think I even have an ugly blanket UFO somewhere.  Anyway, my newest ugly blanket is already halfway done.  I've never made octagon motifs before, but that's what I've finished so far.

I'm not going to be putting any WIPs up of it because I'm already around halfway done, so I will just post it whenever I finish.

I finished my swap gift!  I finished it like 10 minutes ago.  My yarn came in the mail this afternoon, so I figured I'd better finish.  I am going to be mailing it out in a week!  I'm really, REALLY proud of what I made because it's something I've never done before.  I can't wait until she gets it so that I can post pictures!

Happy stitching, everyone.

Unluckier!

Okay, I don't think unluckier is a word, but my computer didn't underline it so I'm using it.

I told the story about how my tires were slashed.  Apparently I was wrong.  Somehow I accidentally did it myself.  I must have run over that metal thing that was in my driveway and didn't realize it.  The investigator who was handling my car showed me how the metal thing was drug on my driveway so that's how I did it.  I feel like an idiot.

I need some yarn therapy because this feeling of being stupid has caused my anxiety to go through the roof.

Unlucky!

Someone slashed my tires.  I hardly use my car and today was the first time I'd tried to use my car in over 2 weeks.  I didn't even realize they were slashed until I was getting ready to load my son in the car.  Both tires on my passenger side.

Awesome.

Second unlucky thing is very minor, but when you're already annoyed, you know...ANYWAY, after my grocery trip, I realized that I accidentally smashed my eggs in the car door. So that was fun to clean.

Awesomer.

Alrighty, I have a Sophie update :)

Page 13 is officially done.  I'm working on another afghan at the moment as well, but I'm not sharing until it's done because it's a stash buster and I'm expecting something gloriously ugly!  Which I will treasure anyway.

I'm tired and getting ready to cook dinner, so happy stitching, everyone!

LCHF

I started a new diet because of a new diagnosis (Crohn's).  Well...an old diagnosis that they changed and then said, "Oh no, we were wrong, it really is the first thing."  So I am now working with a nutritionist and eating LCHF which stands for Low Carb, High Fat.  It's working well for me as I haven't had a flare up since I started eating this way.  I think the best part of it is that I am losing weight pretty steadily without even trying.  The doctor said that I have a gluten intolerance NOT the same as celiac's disease.  Mine is more of a...you have an ulcer and the wheat and gluten are going to agitate it which is why the nutritionist suggested this.

So I have cut carbs down, but not eliminated them completely.  What can I say?  All the best foods have carbs!

AAAAAAnyway...

I have a GEISHA WIP!!!  I haven't had one of those in a while!  I'm going to be working on her tonight, too.  Hopefully I can get some serious progress on her over the next few nights.

I'm actually a lot further now than I was in the picture.  I have a lot more purple done.

I'm so close to having my swap gift finished!  I'm roughly 25 rows away from being done and then I can finally send it off!  I don't know if I mentioned the small bit of sticker shock I got from the post office.  So I have to wait until pay day to send it off.  Ah well, I hope she loves it!

Mmkay, off to put the minions to bed, then let the dogs out, then feed the cat, then...finish the chores that my kids don't let me do during the day lol  Happy stitching, everyone!

Random post with a Sophie update.

First is the Sophie update.  Page 12 is done!

It really doesn't look like I've done anything since the last update!  I had to do a page of my Sophie pattern because the swap gift I'm working on is at such a boring part.

Now for the random stuff.

This might be TMI, but I have baby fever something FIERCE!

The second random thing is that I've been extremely weepy.  I've been crying at the drop of a hat.  Everything stresses me out for some reason.  I don't know.  I cried this afternoon from singing a song from Aladdin with my daughter.  It's getting ridiculous.

I think this all goes back to the baby fever.

Sorry to vent...

Baby powder bomb.

My daughter.  Oh, my daughter.  I love her so much, but today I could have choked her.

How's your day going?  Mine's going like this:

That, my friends, is my daughter standing in the midst of her mess that was made with a Sam's Club sized bottle of baby powder.  That's my bedroom.  She was left alone for FIVE MINUTES.

I'm not sure of the order in which she did things, but she pulled half my books off my bookshelf, opened the diaper box and pulled them all out, opened the wipes box and pulled them all out, and then decided to redecorate.  The shirt she's wearing is dark blue.

Five minutes.  I was in the kitchen cutting up vegetables and I realized she was quiet.  I went to check on her, but realized she wasn't in the playroom anymore.  I heard banging and knew she was in my room.  I opened the door to that baby powder bomb.

She looks at me and says, "Oh no!  What happened?!"  With her hands over her mouth like she can't believe what she's seeing.  Like the baby powder did it all on it's own and she was just an innocent bystander.

Her reaction to getting caught was so funny that I wasn't even mad.  I had to do that parent thing where you're trying to let them know they did something wrong, but you have to turn your head because you're trying so hard not to laugh.

Luckily it was an easy clean up because I have a door to the balcony in my room, so I just took all the stuff outside and beat all the powder off before putting everything in the washer.

I fear that my room will forever smell of baby powder...

Working on lots

I have been away for a little bit because I've been resting up.  My back went out again and I needed to let it heal some.

While I was resting, I got a page (okay, two pages) of my other Sophie done:

Sorry for the poor quality of the first photo.  I didn't realize it was so bad until I uploaded it.  This is pages 10 and 11.  It's curly right now, but my first Sophie did that and it righted itself out within the next couple of rounds, so I think it's supposed to do that.

I have been working on my swap partner's gift.  I'm really, really hoping to be done by the deadline, but I'm definitely going to cut it close.  I had to wait forever for the things I needed to come in the mail.  Thank you, middle of nowhere!

I've been feeling rather ill the last few days, so I am just posting this update and then going to bed.  Happy stitching, everyone!

Sophie is...

...DONE!  Well, one of the Sophies is done anyway.

Don't mind the blurriness of the picture.  I'm too short and had to jump to get the whole thing in the shot.  No panoramic option on my phone, you know?

My Halloween costume came in the mail today and my son is super excited because I'm going to be Mario and he's going to be Luigi.  I am hoping my weight loss goes well because that costume is just slightly too small.  It's alright, though.  I have time to lose it and I've already dropped 6 pounds.

Side note:  if you DO order THIS, just know that you're going to really be in pain from the high riding crotch.  TMI, I know, but I figured if anyone was looking to buy that they need to know this.

Mmkay.  I'm off to go fix the crotch of my costume.  Happy stitching, everyone!

Mushroom Amigurumi and some Sophie updates

My son has been hounding me for a Mario mushroom that he can play with when he's pretending to be Mario.  So I googled some amigurumi patterns and made this earlier today:

Why yes, yes that is a two pound bag of Skittles in the background.

I have a Sophie update for both of the Sophie's Universe afghans I'm making.  I have first up:

The squares look really out of place in this photo, but I've started working on the border already and they don't stand out so much anymore which is nice.  I'm currently working on the second to last round of this blanket.  I'm definitely in the home stretch on this one.

Next up I have the more muted Sophie.  I finished page 9:

I can't get over how beautiful these blankets have turned out so far.  The first Sophie looks like an Easter egg and the muted one looks like something you'd see in a woodsy cabin.  I'm in love!

I'm watching My Little Pony with my favorite little girl right now, so I'm going to go do that for a while.  Happy stitching, everyone!

Ladybird, Ladybird, Fly Away Home...

I had to do a small project to break up all my big ones.  This is a Bucilla kit called "Ladybug" and I got it from Walmart for a dollar.

Sorry for the very poor picture.  I've already washed, ironed, and framed this one (it's roughly 2 inches square).  I figured it was cute and would not take a long time.

The electric company is cycling the air conditioners right now, so they turned our AC off for the day.  It's currently 95 in the house right now and miserable because the kids are crying and hot and exhausted and that makes Mommy hot and exhausted...

SO HOT.

I'm going to go camp in front of my fan.  Happy (albeit very hot) stitching, everyone!

Sophie Update

I have been working on my Sophie blanket now that my friend's baby blanket is done.  Here's where I'm at now:

Page 18 of the pattern

She's been slow going the last couple of days because during the day she's often being used by my daughter.  She kind of takes over.

Otherwise nothing really big has happened lately.

I figured out something to make for my swap partner that's actually NOT crochet!  Hopefully they like it.  I will update with pictures whenever they receive it...but I haven't even sent it out yet and I haven't even made part of it.  Working on it, though!  I'm hoping to be done soon!

Watching Garfield with the kids, now, so happy stitching, everyone!

Baby Blanket!

I have been secretly working on a baby blanket for my friend who is due in about two weeks.  She still doesn't know.  I'm probably going to bring it to her tomorrow.  This is what I made for her:

Don't mind the filthy carpet...I moved my coffee table out of the way and realized it was disgusting underneath.  I have the blanket in the washer now and I have a shopping list to make another one for her sister.  Random, but no two rounds are the same.  I found the pattern HERE if you would like to make your own.

Now that my little side project is done, I can work on my Sophie blankets, my mystery CAL, and my Geisha.  Nothing more for now, so happy stitching, everyone!

Saturday, August 22, 2015

Random Post

I'm actually updating to let everyone know that I've put all my projects on the back seat for now because I'm working on a baby blanket for a friend who's about to pop and I'm kind of in a time crunch.  I figure I'll post a picture when it's done, but for now I'm not working on anything else.

I have started recording Youtube videos about some game play.  I haven't recorded any videos in four...maybe five years?  One of my friends asked me why and told me that she needed help with the game I'm playing now, so I figured I'll start recording again.  The first game I'm recording is Bloodborne.  I won't have any videos up until tomorrow (probably).  Not that anyone cares lol

Off to watch some Dexter and work on that blanket.  Happy stitching, everyone!

Thank Goodness for Skype and...a crow?

I got to Skype with my husband yesterday and now that I know he's doing well and that he's already enjoying himself (somewhat) I feel better.  I've been busying myself this morning with making muffins and hanging out with the kids.

Anyway, here's some Sophie!

It's not much, but the new section was the zig zags on the edge.  This is the 17th page of the pattern done.

My other Sophie:

This is the 8th page of the pattern done.  I'm really, really, really in love with this one.

Next up, I have where I currently am on the mystery CAL:

This is all 7 squares I've completed.  I'm going to be working on the 8th one this afternoon.

Now, on to something funny that happened today.  Actually, I'm kind of thinking this is what brightened my mood a bit.  I have made a crow friend.  Yes, crow, like the bird.  I was baking muffins this morning and I could hear a crow cawwing, but I didn't know where it was.  I realized quickly that it was coming from the hood vent of my stove.

So I pulled the filter off of it and looked up.  Sure enough, there was a crow stuck in the vent.  So I grabbed a towel from the laundry room and wrapped my hand in it.  I reached in between the fan blades and pulled him out.  He was really struggling, so I wrapped him in the towel so he couldn't escape and be flying around my kitchen.  I didn't want any poop on my fresh baked muffins, you know?!

He settled down and almost seemed relieved when he realized he was safe.  I put him on the porch, thinking maybe if he's injured I'd be able to tell, but he hopped around a few times and flew away.  Now he's sitting on my balcony.  I think I made a friend.

Off to go clean my filthy house.  Maybe play some video games.  Happy stitching, everyone.

Been Away.

Well, my husband has left.  We dropped him off at the airport early this morning so he could go to school.  He'll be back in a couple months, but I've been away because I wanted to spend time with him before he left.

I have an answer for my back problems!  I have 2 herniated discs and I have spinal stenosis!

That's really all I'm posting today.  I've been working on my Sophies, a baby blanket for a friend, and my mystery swap gift.  I'm just kind of mopey today and am not feeling that happy.  Maybe it's lack of sleep (I AM going on 36 hours now) or maybe it's because my husband left this morning, or maybe it's even because I'm STILL in pain.  I don't know.

Just a gloomy day.

Renewed interest in my Geisha

I have finally been working on my Geisha again.  I'm actually far enough that I can roll my scroll (that rhymes!) and start working on the top half of the pattern.  Moving on to another part of the pattern has made me interested in working on her again.  She was really slow going during that last leg of the bottom of her kimono (lots of "of").

Anyway, here's the last time/this time side by side!

I rolled the scroll up already so I could start working on the purple that's coming.  It's a really lovely purple.  I ran out of gold metallic thread, so I will have to buy it next time I'm in town, but for now I don't need it.

I scrapped my neon Sophie blanket because it was really, really busy.  I mean, I get that the pattern is kinda busy anyway, but that one looked really bad and was quite the eyesore, so I'm probably going to unravel it and use the yarn for something else.

I joined that mystery CAL and am now done with squares 4 and 5:

Square 4

Square 5

I like these circle to square afghan squares.  They're pretty cute.  I'm not so good at the back loop crochet, which is why they have less of a circle shape and more of a dodecagon shape.  I still love the way they look.  Each square so far has a similar look, but because of the colors I chose, they all look so different!

My other project I'm working on is...well, I can't show or tell because it's for my swap partner.  I just really hope they like it.  It's definitely been a new experience for me because I've never made anything like this.  I know I will probably make one for myself because it's really neat.

Nothing more to add, off to finish these last two rounds of the pattern I'm crocheting.

Busy!

An update on my bad back.  I'm still in a lot of pain, but I got in to see the doctor this morning.  I'm on a couple muscle relaxers and some anti-inflammatory medications.  The best news, though, is that I finally got a doctor who listens to me and she recommended an MRI.  So I get to go do that soon!

I have been pretty bedridden for a little while, so I've been doing a lot of crocheting because cross stitch is hard to do when you're stuck on your back.  That being said, I made a few things.  First up is the sweater I knocked out in literally two days:

The front!

The back!

Don't mind the messiness of my outfit, I was in my pajamas getting ready for bed (and in quite a lot of pain, might I add!).  I got the pattern from HERE and I used I Love This Yarn "Surprise Stripes" which is a worsted weight yarn.  I didn't make mine as big as the pattern shows because I'm rather short (five feet) and didn't want to ruin it by dragging it on the floor.  I figured the back of my knees was a perfect length for my shortness.

Okay, I also have some Sophie updates.  Here's where I'm at on them!

Page 15 finish.

Page 16 finish (not much different, really).

Sophie number 2 page 7 finish

Then, after all this, I joined a mystery crochet along.  I think the squares in this CAL are for a pillow, but I really want to make an afghan because the colors I picked work so well together that a pillow just isn't enough for me!  Here are the first three squares of that (I'll probably work up the fourth tonight).

Weeks 1-3

I started the CAL yesterday, but it's been going on for four weeks already.  So I'll be caught up sometime today.

All that lying around got me some serious crafting.  I'm going to go lie down for a bit because I'm in pain, but I thought I would update since I just got back from the doctor.  Happy stitching, everyone!

Threw out my back again

Yes, it's true.  I threw out my back again.  This one was as bad as the one that put me in the hospital a few months ago, but since they didn't do anything for me last time I went, I stayed home.  I'm in a LOT of pain.  I can't walk without random twinges of excruciating pain and if I'm sitting down and try to relax the muscles in my back, I get a crushing pain in my spine.  But, you know, the doctor thinks I'm looking for narcotics, so they basically tell me to suck it up and go home.

I can't bend down to pick anything up, so my poor son has been helping me do practically everything (to include helping me get dressed).  My house is filthy because I can't reach to pick anything up.  I can't do dishes because I can't stand long enough to get them done.  Of course I threw out my back when my husband is away for two weeks for work.

My poor kids are going to be eating microwave meals I can't bend down to put something in the oven (not without burning myself on something!) and I can't stand long enough to cook stove top.

There's a silver lining, though.  I have all the time in the world to work on my crafty things!  I can't lay out any to take pictures right now, but I will when I feel better!

Anyway, this was just an update as to where I've been for a few days.  Happy stitching, everyone.

Serial Starter

It's official, I am a serial starter.  I start a lot of projects.  Oh, I do finish them, but I always have many, many going at once.  That being said, here are the first two WIPs of my THIRD Sophie's Universe blanket:

You can't tell by the pictures, but the colors are neons, black, and white.  I'm really loving the way it looks in person, but it's rather ugly in the pictures.  Ah well.  Here are the four WIPs for my second Sophie:

I'm almost done with the 15th page of my first Sophie.  Hopefully I'll be done with that before I go to bed tonight.

I bought yarn recently to make THIS.  It's black, white, and bright pink variegated yarn.  I'm really excited to start that.

My father came to visit for my birthday and while he was here he joked that he'd like me to make him a blanket, so I am making him one.  I hope he realizes that I am very serious about making a blanket because I've bought the yarn and pattern for something for him.  He lives in Michigan, so a blanket for Christmas would be a great idea with all that snow they get.

I'm going to go finish that page I'm on in my pattern and then I'm probably going to read a book.  Happy stitching everyone!

Sunday, June 28, 2015

Sorry!

I have been skimping out on my blogging lately because I'm prepping my house for a visitor.  I have my dad coming soon and I'm overly anal about cleaning my house when company comes over.

I do have a couple of WIPs for you, though!  First up, my Geisha:

I know, it doesn't look like I did much, right?  That's because most of what I've been doing is the back stitching.  I only have a few more things to do to this section of the pattern and then I can finally roll my scroll frame a little further up and not have to worry so much about unraveling.  Hard to believe that with all this work done, I'm really only about 2/3 of the way done with her!

Next up, I have a WIP of my Sophie's Universe blanket (the big one).

I'm pretty sure that the last time I shared a Sophie update that I was only on page 11.  Now I'm working on page 15, so there's a good difference between where I was and where I'm at now.  I really love this "Easter egg" blanket.

That's all.  Time to get a move on finishing my house.  Happy stitching, everyone!

Lots of WIP stuff.

Been away for a bit.  Video games, you know?  I have lots of WIPs today, including one of my Geisha!  So, without further adieu, here are all of the WIPs!

First up, we have the Geisha because it's been a long time since I've updated.  Here's where I was at last time, and this time:

I feel like this section is taking forever because it's so very boring.  That and the confetti stitches just take so long.

Next up, I have a WIP for my first Sophie's Universe blanket:

In that last picture, it's looking pretty curly, right?  I was reading in the instructions it is supposed to curl a lot.  I'm almost done with the next page of the pattern and it's seeming to straighten out a bit.  I think it looks a bit like an Easter egg.

Because I've enjoyed working on the Sophie's Universe blanket so far, I've started another one recently and have finished the first two pages of the pattern with the new colors:

These colors are a bit darker, but I really love them.

So that's all that's going on with me right now, sorry for all the pictures today, but I figured it's been a while and I didn't want everyone thinking I have stopped crafting.  Off to work on my blanket some more and hopefully tonight I'll finish that section of my Geisha.  Happy stitching, everyone!
